"...and now for something completely different..." is, as many will remember, the Monty Python line that introduced...well...something completely different. The works in this show are completely different for me, and represent several experimental new directions. The suitcase sculpture was a way to present prints on silk in three dimensions. The techniques of collage and decoupage have always intrigued me, and it was more fun than work making the Flamboya collage and the coffee table. Applying new techniques and making new combinations, like the paper quilt, is downright satisfying, and a change in scale is exciting, as witness the large giclee prints. I have just "gone digital", and love the instant gratification. No more waiting for film to develop!
