"The Gift"
Toni Littlejohn "From Beast to Bliss" Meditations on small canvases and paper. What presents in Littlejohn's current exhibit, From Bliss to Beast, is a rendering of her inner life sometimes clear, sometimes obscure, mysterious and inexplicable. Working on the edge of no language and no control, with and without censor, she pleasures in being in the unknown, in receiving from the moment, in absorbed fascination with what is right now. These succulently colored paintings range in textural richness from skin-thin paint to thick globs of shellac, from recognizable form to the meander of reverie.
We believe that art is an intellectual and spiritual necessity
that belongs in every community. Our purpose is to provide
a professional exhibition space for artwork and a program
that addresses the cultural, political, and environmental
concerns of our rural community and the greater Bay Area.
