Imelda Macias, “Papermill Creek Children’s Corner”
Me alegró mucho éste proyecto. Me encantan las fotos que he tomado.Aprendí mucho de fotografía y de lo que se puede buscar para crear una buena imagen. Aprendí como usar la cámara y controlar la velocidad y el uso de los lentes.
Me cayeron muy bien todos mis compañeros de clase. Hay más comunicación entre nosotros y los ciudadanos. Ahora me saludan. Me encantaría que el proyecto continuara y mis estudios de fotografía también. Nunca hubiera pensado que me gustaría tanto ésto.
Imelda Macias Artist Statement: I feel happy about this project. I love the pictures I have made. I learned so much about photography and what to look for in making a good picture. I learned how to use the camera and control the speed and opening of the shutter.
I felt really close with all my classmates. I feel there is more communication between the town and us. People say hi now. I would love for the project to continue. I want to study photography. I never thought I would love it so much.
We believe that art is an intellectual and spiritual necessity
that belongs in every community. Our purpose is to provide
a professional exhibition space for artwork and a program
that addresses the cultural, political, and environmental
concerns of our rural community and the greater Bay Area.
