Ramon Ramirez, “Seashore Staff”

Ramon Ramirez Artist Statement: I enjoyed this work; it is very different from working with the cows. I was scared at first because I didn’t like the pictures I took in the past. When I saw the pictures in the museum, I saw that photography was important. Now when people say, “what a good picture,” I feel excited. I try to make my pictures better and better.
Yesterday my uncle asked me to take his picture, so I did. He asked if it could be in the gallery and I said not this year, maybe next year. Perhaps in the future when I am not working on the ranch I can put an ad in the paper offering to take pictures for people.
