Serapio Diaz, “Ramirez Crew”

Serapio Diaz Artist Statement: For me it was really interesting to be in this project. Seeing the photos I took on the computer screen, and then printed out large was exciting. I want to continue.
I didn’t feel fear but I felt shy at first. After learning more it was OK.
It was incredible the connection with the people in the class and all the people we took photos of.
I used to be just on the ranch more o f the town. Now I come into town more often and feel more a part of the town. I loved learning how to take pictures. I want to continue.
We believe that art is an intellectual and spiritual necessity
that belongs in every community. Our purpose is to provide
a professional exhibition space for artwork and a program
that addresses the cultural, political, and environmental
concerns of our rural community and the greater Bay Area.
